We all have stories and sometimes they are ours to tell and sometimes they aren't. Sometimes they belong to others who would be thrilled to know we are sharing their stories, books, or research. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am clear that the ethics of my profession prevent me from sharing my clients' stories, but I'm often asked by others for my thoughts about relationships or a peek into what it must be like to be a therapist. As someone who is curious and seeks to integrate information into everything I do, I often find myself sharing with others a peek into what I've read, what I've heard, or what I've seen.
What to expect from A Peek Into...?
Each post will be a brief peek into something that has made an impact on me, such as a book or article I've read or a podcast I've heard or something I've seen like a tv show, movie or website. My hope is that the topics will vary and could be about anything from marriage to parenting or families and relationships. A Peek into...will not just be a generic summary of the latest social research but rather a compilation of how just about anything can help us see ourselves and our relationships in a new light.
